This tutorial will teach you how to generate a Fubar skin and then
apply it to your collection of Fubar skins.
In this tutorial I will make a basic
sportbike motorcycle skin. (Note that at the end you have to save the skin TWO
times, each time you replace the default Fubar code with your Generated Fubar skin code)
Step One: Find your background/wallpaper image URL/link
- Search Google for
"sportbike wallpaper"
(click
for larger image)
- Change to the Images results page.

- Click one of the thumbnails you like.

You now have your wall paper background URL/link saved to the
clipboard.
Step Two: Fill out the Skin Generator Form
-
Click here to open the Fubar Skin Generator in a new window.
In the fields do the following:
Background Color: FFFFFF (this will make the
page background white)
Background Image/URL: Paste the URL we have in
the clipboard (http://www.wallpapers.lv/images/papers/bikes/suzuki/
medium/suzuki-tl1000r-1998.jpg)
Position: Top Center
Tiled?: No
Movement: Stay Put

Text Color: 000000
Heading Color: 000000
Link Color: 000000
Link Hover Color: 000000
Table Background Color: Transparent
Table Border Thickness: 2px
Table Border Style: Dotted
Table Border Color: 000000
- Now hit Generate Skin (Fubar) and you will goto the code
page.
- Click in the code box, right click, Select All, right click, Copy
(your code is now saved to the clipboard so you can paste in Fubar)
- Enter a name for your skin.
- IMPORTANT: Select all of the default code and DELETE it!
before: (click
to see bigger image)
after: (click
to see bigger image)
- Now PASTE your skin code (right click, paste) into the skin code
box and click "Save Skin!" (you are NOT finished yet)
IMPORANT!!
Fubar is buggy here, even though we Saved the skin, Fubar really
DID NOT save it. They saved some generic code that we have to save over a
second time.
- Click Edit Skin (you will now see some generic code! Hey why does
Fubar do that? I don't know.)
Select all of this code and DELETE it. Now PASTE your skin code
(still saved in the clipboard) and click the Save Skin! button.
(click
for larger image)
Now your skin code is saved and your skin will work for you!
(Don't forget to activate the skin!)
